The shape of the journey
Two nights in Dubrovnik and one night on Pelješac, with a planned road transfer between them.
Our editorial pick: September or October. Later visits work best with confirmed winery and attraction appointments.
Day 01
Meet Dubrovnik on foot
Start with the Old Town and decide whether to include the city walls within their current visiting hours. Give the historic streets time between the major sights rather than filling the day with timed entries.
Choose a meal away from the pressure of a packed schedule. Autumn changes the light and rhythm of a city visit, though busy days can still occur.

Look beyond the first impression
Devote the morning to a museum or another historic site you have selected in advance. A second day makes it easier to see the city as more than a set of viewpoints.
If open and suitable for your transport arrangements, consider Trsteno Arboretum as a separate excursion. Otherwise, enjoy a slower afternoon in Dubrovnik and keep the route simple.

Through Ston to wine country
Travel towards Pelješac with a planned food stop in Ston. Allow the transfer to form part of the day instead of treating it as a gap between appointments.
Make one confirmed cellar visit after checking in. A driver lets everyone participate in the tasting and removes the pressure to hurry back along unfamiliar roads.

The vineyard meets the Adriatic
Set out to appreciate the Dingač landscape and its relationship with the sea. Keep the morning flexible around the weather and the advice of your host.
Finish with a booked lunch before departure. If the peninsula has become the highlight, add another night rather than squeezing in a distant extra destination.

Keep winery visits appointment-based and use a designated driver or transfer. Confirm attraction hours. Boats are an optional addition after checking current services and conditions.
